…continued
This was seriously the most fun photo session ever: nothing but Erin Wasson-esque hair flipping, lots of attitude, good music in the background and a lot of basic pieces mixed with plenty of accesories, red lipstick, and a pair of Marc by Marc Jacobs booties (which by pure accident are the same ones Rumi Neely at Fashiontoast used to sport about a year and a half ago)

What do you get when you mix CS3, Painter 11 and watercolor? The variations are endless, but this is what I felt it should look like today…For those who don’t recognize her, it’s Freja Beha Erichsen, caught in a backstage momento.
This has been a very bad year for me, which kept on degrading just as a soul’s husk disintegrates, thus diminishing an extra dimension of hope. Being severely ill and trapped inside a hospital room wasn’t exactly my idea of a creative process booster 3 weeks ago.
But the way out of a claustrophobic confinement always emerges sooner or later…doesn’t it?

Made a quick trip to Frankfurt with a bunch of friends for 4 days, and if I had to sum up the entire experience in under 100 words it would have to be like this: jet lag.Elbe hotel.am main.My Zeil mall.vintage pocket watch.meeting up with nice people.sushi.random talking.way too many latte macchiatos.Main Tower.height sickness.Carpe Diem Kombucha.American Apparel spree.Hot Chocolate.Museum fur Moderne Kunst.layering to keep warm.Bowling alley.”10″ Magazine.Saint Bartholomeus cathedral.Vapiano pasta.Warhammer Games Workshop.jet lag but again.
Oh, and some photos…

Heavily experimenting with watercolor on a daily basis; at one point I just said to myself “I need to do this sort of like forest scenery, all sketch-like and out of my imagination and keep it simple”. So I gave it my best shot, and this is the outcome for that night when, for like about one hour of brush-bonding and less emphasis on details , I opted to focus on shadows and highlights (those are gouache, I highly recommend working with it when it comes to whites-great covering power and texture) the most…
On a different note, you might want to check out this amazing event on Concept Art, it’s called International Self Portrait day (happens on the 1st of November every year)

It’s not everyday that you get to discover a fashion designer you fall in love with…
I just finished this illustration.. experimented a bit with graphite pencil, watercolor and Photoshop.. I feel an urge to mix different techniques these days.
The outfit is not from her current collection, I might illustrate a few of her current creations the following week.
Any comments and critiques are welcome

Hey guys, I’ve been like so busy these past 2 weeks since my last update, but today I’ve done this digital painting, and it’s only the first in what I hope to become a new series, because I just made the decision to focus mainly on fashion illustrations and fashion-related art. I hope you dig it and would love to hear an opinion or two, don’t be shy

It’s only now that I recovered this illustration, I made it over a month ago specifically for this project which I have mentioned in my first post here
